Our students and parent volunteers participated for the first time in a community promotion event themed "Emerging Sports and Gerontechnology." The event was co-organized by Maryknoll Secondary School and the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Yau Ma Tei Elderly Neighbourhood Centre, attracting over 200 elderly, youth, and women to the school.

The Maryknoll volunteer team, including students from the community service group and parent volunteers, underwent a three-month training program to earn the basic certificate in Finnish Mölkky, an emerging sport. As "Community Sports Ambassadors," they shared the joy of emerging sports with the elderly and youth, promoting community integration. Our students also led participants in experiencing AI Wing Chun and introduced gerontechnology products to promote the importance of smart technology in enhancing health.
