Students Deliberate on Environmental Stewardship in Media Interview

Our school students were recently interviewed by Kung Kao Po (the official publication of the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong) to elucidate our Green Environmental Education Trail and interdisciplinary sustainability initiatives.

Principal Cheng Ying-Kai expounded on the campus architecture's deliberate integration of natural ventilation systems and daylight optimization to maximize energy conservation efficiency. He further articulated the school's commitment to advancing Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) principles through the Green Environmental Education Trail and school-based ecological wellness programs, cultivating authentic environmental citizenship among stakeholders.

Ms. Chan Lok-Man and Mr. Chan Kai-Pong (Visual Arts Department) delineated the pedagogical process behind creating the Upcycled Textile Feature Wall adjacent to the Art Studio. Through cross-curricular scaffolding, they guided students in synthesizing biological knowledge with artistic practice to critically examine correlations between consumer behavior patterns and endangered species conservation.

Student docents from our Education Trail program provided testimonial insights:

Wong Ka-Man (5A) recounted her experiential learning in educating primary students about endangered species preservation through a recycled paper tabletop game

Chan San-Tung (3A) reflected on her participation in the Carbon Neutral Ambassador Training Program, noting heightened behavioral responsibility manifested through habitual use of reusable shopping bags and food utensils
