Environmental Education

Our school effectively utilizes green building design and facilities to implement comprehensive environmental education both within and outside the curriculum. We aim to cultivate students' love for nature and help them establish good personal habits.

Sustainable Architecture and Green Buildings

Our school buildings are constructed using sustainable architecture methods and have received the "Gold" certification from the Hong Kong Green Building Council's BEAM Plus New Buildings rating system. Each classroom is equipped with air purification devices, and the school has been awarded the "Good" certificate for two consecutive years by the Environmental Protection Department’s Indoor Air Quality Certification Scheme.

Comprehensive Environmental Education

In recent years, our school has been awarded the "Outstanding School" award by the Ocean Park Conservation Foundation for actively participating in conservation promotion efforts. Our lunch provider uses reusable containers and offers low-carbon vegetarian meals for parents to order, aligning with our sustainable dining policy that also includes food waste recycling.

Additionally, our school organizes various low-carbon promotion activities, such as regular Green Mondays, low-carbon food sharing events, healthy low-carbon banquets, and inter-class energy-saving and waste reduction competitions. We encourage parents to participate with their children in campus eco-friendly activities, which include organic gardening training and upcycling workshops.

Teachers also lead students in local environmental activities, such as hiking and clean-up campaigns, visits to eco-friendly facilities, and community environmental innovation initiatives. In recent years, our school has allowed students to participate in overseas field studies to gain a deeper understanding of future trends in community and global environmental conservation, broadening their horizons.
