Our school is committed to promoting a culture of reading culture, aiming for students to develop good reading habits in both classroom and daily life, thereby broadening their horizons through literature.
In terms of curriculum, all subjects are designed incorporate elements of reading. This includes recommending books in class, setting reading requirements tailored to the abilities of students at various levels, and designing diverse reading assignments.
Apart from the curriculum, our school boasts a well-equipped library with a wide range of books with different themes, multimedia resources, and reference materials. We regularly hold themed book exhibitions to introduce students to knowledge beyond their subjects. We also have an electronic library where students can access a wealth of reading resources, fostering diverse reading interests.
Our school features a two-story library where students can enjoy reading in a quiet and comfortable environment during breaks and after school. The library also includes outdoor reading and relaxation spaces, as well as study rooms, making it convenient for study activities.
In terms of activities, our "Maryknoll Reading Club" regularly organizes book exhibitions, film sharing sessions, seminars, reading tea gatherings, and author talks. Along with our reading promotion plan and class reading competitions, these activities aim to cultivate reading habits among students in their lives.
