Recently, our school organized a series of exciting Chinese cultural activities, including the "Chinese Culture and Comic Creation Lecture" and the "Ji Gu Village Face-Changing Art Performance." These events allowed students to experience the profound heritage and diverse charm of five thousand years of civilization through the collision of tradition and modernity.
Hong Kong Comics and Chinese Culture:
Our school was honored to invite Dr. Fan Wing Chung (Xiao Mao) from Hong Kong Baptist University to give a lively lecture. Dr. Fan led the students into the golden age of Hong Kong comics, allowing them to feel the spirit of Chinese martial arts and cultural heritage.
Ji Gu Village Face-Changing Art Performance:
Our school also invited Sichuan opera actors from Ji Gu Village to present a spectacular face-changing performance for teachers and students. The actors used props such as sleeves, robes, and fans to change their facial masks in an instant, vividly depicting the inner emotions and changes of the characters in the play. The students experienced this exquisite intangible cultural heritage up close, with applause and exclamations of amazement filling the air, creating a lively atmosphere!
This event not only deepened the students' understanding of the rich connotations of Chinese culture but also inspired them to inherit and promote tradition in innovative ways.
