Environmental Learning Journey | Exploring Climate Change and Ecological Conservation

Visit to CUHK Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change and Lake Ad Excellentiam Nature Walk

Under the guidance of teachers, 23 students from Form 1 to Form 4 visited the CUHK Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change and conducted an ecological survey at Lake Ad Excellentiam. The students listened attentively to the docent's explanations, actively asked questions, and gained an in-depth understanding of polar ecology, extreme weather, and the impact of human activities on the environment. We were also fortunate to meet the world-renowned polar explorer, Dr. Rebecca Lee, who donated her book "Arctic Tracking" to our school library, allowing more students to learn about the Arctic environment and wildlife. The nature walk also enabled students to observe the flora and fauna around the lake, enhancing their ecological awareness.

Coral Conservation under Climate Change | Carbon Neutral Student Campus Ambassador Training Program

On the same day, four "Carbon Neutral Ambassadors" from Form 2 and Form 3 participated in an ecological survey at Hoi Ha Wan. Through a glass-bottom boat, they observed the marine ecology of Sai Kung, learned about the impact of climate change on corals, and the crucial role corals play in maintaining marine biodiversity.

Through these activities, students not only gained valuable learning experiences but also further developed their environmental awareness, contributing to sustainable development!
